Requirements:

A GSM cellular phone with the service-provider lock removed. If you are unsure whether your phone is unlocked or not, insert a SIM card from a service provider other than your own to check. (If the phone is locked, you will see an error message when you turn on the phone or a message prompting you to enter a subsidy code.)

To have your phone unlocked, contact your service provider (Cingular,
T-Mobile, etc..) for the unlock code. They usually will provide this at no cost to customers who have been with them for over 3 months.

The phone must be capable of functioning on the 1800 MHz GSM band.

Activating Your Service:

1) When you Arive in Hong Kong. insert the SIM card into your phone
2) Turn on your phone. (Be sure that the battery is charged)
3) You may start making and reciving calls

Recharging Your SIM Card:

Additional refill cards may be purchased at any mini mart, convenience store, newsstand, cellular store, and supermarket.

Service Life:

You must use your SIM card at least once every 6 months to retain your cellular service. Call credits do not expire as long as your account is kept active.

Calling Card Service:

You may use your SIM card account also as a calling card to call abroad from any phone in Hong Kong. Simply dial 306-688-61 from any phone in Hong Kong and follow the voice prompts in English. Calling card calls to the USA and Canada cost $0.20 a minute.

Wi-Fi Service:

By using Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) enabled devices, you can experience the fastest wireless broadband connectivity at PCCW Wi-Fi hotspots.

How to use:
1) Set the Network Name (SSID/ESSID) to "PCCW"
2) Launch your Internet browser
3) Type any URL into the address field and you will be redirected to PCCW Wi-Fi login page automatically
4) Login to the service:
      1. Choose "Pre-paid & Wi-Fi Pass users" and press "Next".
      2. Follow the on-screen instructions, choose PCCW "All-in-1"           Communications SIM Card, then provide your mobile number and           PIN* to login to the service.
      3. Select suitable usage plan:
                         Day pass - $20 for 24 hours
                         Pay as you go - $3 for every 10 minutes

Upon successful login, a new offline window will pop-up to let you terminate the connection. Do not close the offline window. To terminate you PCCW Wi-Fi session, simply click the 'Disconnect' button.
