Within the Province that the SIM card is from (i.e. Beijing for the Beijing Province), you can purchase refill cards at most corner stores, convenience stores, newsstands, cellular stores, and supermarkets, as well as most hotel and hostel front desks.

While your SIM card will work throughout China, refilling your SIM card outside the Province of origin can be a little difficult. China Mobile is divided into 22 Provinces, and each Province works independently of the others. For example - a refill card for China Mobile Shanghai will not work with a China Mobile Beijing SIM card. We suggest that before you leave for another Province, you refill your SIM card. If you need to refill you SIM card in another Province, refill cards from your Province of origin may be found at some cell phone stores and at hotel consierges (ie You may find a Beijing refill card while in Shanghai).
